Ukraine increases export of grain processing products - Prysiazhniuk
KYIV, April 12 /UKRINFORM/. The growing dynamics of grain processing products' export is observed in Ukraine, such as flour.
Agrarian Policy and Food Minister Mykola Prysiazhniuk has defined this trend, the Ministry's press service told UKRINFORM about this.
"In Ukraine, there is a tendency of growing export of grain processing products, flour in particular. Since the beginning of the current marketing year, it has been supplied to foreign markets to the amount of almost160,000 tons, the government member said.
According to him, as of April 11, Ukraine exported over 20.2 million tons of grain, which is 3.6 million tons up against the previous marketing year. Corn is actively exported now. It has already been delivered to foreign markets to the amount of almost 11.4 million tons.
The Minister stressed that there are no grounds for the shortages of grain on the domestic market. "There are no reasons in Ukraine for the shortages of grain on the domestic and foreign markets. In addition, taking into consideration the processes that will take place on the domestic and foreign markets, the balance indicators will be adjusted. In total, by the end of June, we are planning to supply a predictable volume of grain, i.e. to export 24.6 million tons of grain," Prysiazhniuk summed up.
