Russia's Rusbiotekh to launch 7 bln rbl plant in Rostov Reg 2013

Russian grain processing company Rusbiotekh is expected to launch a 6.75 billion ruble amino acid plant in the Rostov Region in mid-2013, Vladimir Kudryashov, general director of holding company Teso Inzhiniring, the operator of the project, said Wednesday.
Rusbiotekh is expected to borrow funds accounting for 80% of the total investments in the project, Vladimir Babich, financial director of Russian Agroindustrial Trust (RAPT), which participates in the project, said, adding that potential creditors include Vnesheconombank (VEB) and Rosselkhozbank, also known as Russian Agricultural Bank.
Rusbiotekh expects the government to support the project via subsidies and tax exemptions, Kudryashov said.
The plant's annual processing capacity is expected to be at 250,000 tonnes of grain during the first stage, while the total annual processing capacity is expected at 500,000 tonnes of grain.
The plant is to produce lysine amino acid, gluten, and feeds, Kudryashov said.
