Russia harvests over 91 mln tonnes of grains

As of November 5, agrarians of Russia continued harvesting grains and pulses, and as of the reporting date the harvested areas reached 40.9 mln ha (92.9% of the forecast), up 2.3 mln ha compared with the same date in 2012. Russia already produced 91.6 mln tonnes of grains (in 2012 - 72.8 mln tonnes). The average yield totaled 2.24 t/ha (in 2012 - 1.89 t/ha), announced the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
In particular, agrarians harvested 53.7 mln tonnes of wheat (in 2012 - 39.6 mln tonnes) throughout 23.3 mln ha (97.2% of the forecast), with the yield of 2.3 t/ha (in 2012 - 1.85 t/ha).
Agrarians harvested barley throughout nearly 7.8 mln ha (91.8% of the forecast), and produced over 15.8 mln tonnes (in 2012 - 14.7 mln tonnes), with the yield of 2.03 t/ha (in 2012 - 1.93 t/ha).
Russia harvested maize throughout the areas of over 1.3 mln ha, or 55.4% of the forecast, and produced 7.2 mln tonnes of the grain, with the yield of 5.32 t/ha.
Agrarians harvested sunflower seed throughout 4.8 mln ha, or 67.2% of the forecast, and produced 7.8 mln tonnes of the oilseed (in 2012 - 7.2 mln tonnes), with the yield of 1.62 t/ha (in 2012 - 1.29 t/ha).
Agrarians harvested winter and spring rapeseed throughout 1.1 mln ha (81.7% of the planted areas), and produced 1.3 mln tonnes of the oilseed, with the yield of 1.23 t/ha.
Russia harvested 1.3 mln tonnes of soybeans throughout 940.5 thsd ha, or 79.1% of the planned areas, with the yield of 1.35 t/ha.
Also, agrarians planted winter grain crops for the harvest-2014 throughout the areas of 14.2 mln ha (86.9% of the forecast), a decrease of 1.4 mln ha compared with index on the same date last year. / http://www.apk-inform.com [http://www.apk-inform.com]
