Shymkent. September 21. Interfax-Kazakhstan - Japan's Toyota Tsusho Corporation may team up with Kazakhstan's Food Corporation to build a grain processing plant in the republic.

"Food Corporation plans to build a plant for deep processing of grain. We are currently looking for investors for the project. The most likely partner is Japan's Toyota Tsusho Corporation, together with which we are doing research," the deputy chair of JSC National Management Holding "KazAgro", Kairat Aituganov, told Interfax-Kazakhstan.

According to Mr Aituganov, the cost of the project is estimated at $100. The new plant is expected to process 100,000 tons of grain a year, produce up to 10,000 tons of gluten, 60,000 tons of syrups and 30,000 tons of fodder a year.
