According to the Russian statistics agency, farming, procuring and processing entities held 28.3 MMT of grain as of April 1, 2017, or 18.6% more than at the same time last year, informs UkrAgroConsult.
Wheat stocks at procuring and processing entities are 21.3% higher than last year (10.1 MMT, including 7.37 MMT of milling wheat - up 15% from last year). Barley stocks increased as much as 17.5% to 1391 KMT, with rye up 14.5% at 437 KMT, buckwheat up 60.4% at 78 KMT.
Corn stocks are 14% lower than last year, at 1318 KMT. In addition, rice and oat reserves slumped by 6% and 7.2% to 94 KMT and 124 KMT, respectively.
