Black See and European grain market

European Market

The markets have retreated yesterday following beneficial rains in recent days. Note that the decline was yesterday more about the futures
market than on the physical transactions the latter being smaller and less volatile.

The CNGOIC (China National Grain and Oil Information Center) estimate the 2010 crop Chinese compared to 2009 as follows:
- Corn : 168,- against 164,-
- Wheat : 115,- unchanged
- Rapeseed 12.6 against 13.6
These figures are always questionable and our analysts believe for example that the 2009 harvest of corn has been widely overestimated.

In the agricultural commodities, only the rapeseed always displays good fundamentals wirh import requirements at European level thay
can not be fully met bu Ukraine in view of fros damage observed in this country this year and estimated at around 30% of surfaces.

The markets will now focus on the qualitative aspects of the coming harvest and with an eye always on the economic environment.
