Interfax-Kazakhstan - Kazakhstan is going to build a plant for deep grain processing, the CEO of Prodcorporation (public grain procurement operator in Kazakhstan) Beibitkhan Kabdrakhmanov said.
"We are currently in talks with the Japanese and the Dutch. They are working on a feasibility study for the plant. We have not yet decided on Prodcorporation's partner for the project," he said at a Friday press conference in Almaty.
According to Kabdrakhmanov, the cost of the project is about $30 million; the sources of financing have not yet been chosen.
"If investors enter the project, we will try to get them to pay most of the amount," he said.
The new plant will be located either in the Almaty or the Zhambyl region.
